PIAZZA TEVERE

Dates: November 17, 2016 – February 17, 2017

Location: Museo Trastevere, Piazza di S. Egidio, Rome, Italy

‘TRASTEVERE, Intrecci d’arte e vita’ was a group exhibition at the Museum of Rome in Trastevere. The exhibition, curated by Andrea Fogli, invited a group of neighborhood citizens to present an eclectic array of projects, celebrating the memories and imaginations of the historic neighborhood.

As her contribution to ‘TRASTEVERE, Intrecci d’arte e vita’, Kristin Jones presented documentation and proposals relating to her ambitious, long-term project to establish an open-air space for public art and promote the revitalization of Rome’s Tiber River. The multi-layered tableau documented more than a decade of free public programming along the river’s banks while also laying out designs, strategies, and infrastructural improvements for the areas’ future.

The museum exhibition opened on November 17th alongside the inauguration of Divinazione, a city-wide collective exhibition scattered throughout the neighborhood’s public and private spaces. The event was promoted by Rome Capitale Assessorato alla Cultura Cultura-Sovrintendenza.
